Docked on the Seine River, the accommodation offers a new experience for tourists and residents of the City of Light.
The Seine has been Paris’ life force for centuries and in recent years, Parisians have sought to reclaim the river as a public space. Docked between the Austerlitz and Lyon stations in the 13th arrondissement, right on the Seine, OFF is the city’s first floating hotel and bar.
Offering a unique experience with 54 rooms and 4 suites available to book online, the hotel and bar have their own marina, a plunge pool, a bar with cocktails and tapas, and a spectacular view that changes throughout the day with a play of light and reflections on the water.
This innovative project was conceived by Gérard Ronzatti of Seine Design, which specializes in floating architecture, and Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman are the award-winning design duo responsible for the look of the hotel. The rooms are decorated in a sleek style and their overall design celebrates the new city experience, and elements like the lounge ceiling reflect the movement of the water, while also vibrating as the boat shifts with the river.
This, along with a special playlist created by Tune my Tape, make the hotel an incredible experience as a means to disconnect from urban life.
This district is known for being primarily a residential and business area, but it is in the midst of a rapid transformation. Street art and modern architecture combined with a rich history make it the trendiest neighborhood in the city, and OFF is part of the Mairie de Paris and Ports de Paris’s desire to liven up and revitalize the quays of Rive Gauche.
The stations on both sides of the Seine offer a large choice of metro and RER lines to go anywhere in Paris, and in the summer months, the quays come to life with pop-up bars and beach clubs. The hotel is open daily from 5PM to 1AM for cocktails and tapas, and room prices start from €160 (£135) a night.
